JOHNES (possibly
a distant relative) my 7xGGPs who married 21.2.1668. He died 12.1.1704, she
died 20.7.1727 (Wills for both). Possible parents
of either could be the only known couple John & Jane JOHNES. Thomas
& Dorrathy had children Anne JOHNES (c.
31.10.1669; d. by 1673), Anne
JOHNES (c.
10.4.1673, who later married into the BARTON
family), William
JOHNES (c.
24.11.1675; bur. 2.2.1679), Dorothy
JOHNES (c.
8.4.1683) & Mary
JOHNES (who
married into the COLSON
family). Daughter Dorothy JOHNES = Elias BRADLEY,
(signed register as churchwarden in 1734) on 11.3.1717 at Elkesley. She was
buried 7.11.1753 at Elkesley. Dorothy's Will of 1727: Mentions 6 grandchildren Elizabeth, Mary, Thomas, Anne,
Francis & John BARTON (some aged 21+), children of Francis BARTON son-in-law,
also William & Mary
COLSEN (minors) children of William COLSEN, also Thomas & Mary BRADLEY
children of Elias
BRADLEY the Younger. All bequeathed £12 each. The
above-mentioned Elizabeth
BARTON gets the bed and all the furniture. Linen equally
divided between her daughter Dorothy's daughters Anne BARTON, Dorothy BRADLEY &
